Features 

• Stainless Steel (SST) Construction: Many industrial temperature probes use a Stainless Steel (SST) overbraid or sheath to protect internal sensors (like Type K thermocouples or PT100s) from high heat, flames, or corrosive environments.
• Skin Surface Temperature (SST): Medical-grade SST probes, such as the SST-1 or SST-2, are designed for human physiological monitoring.
  • Accuracy: Typically ±0.1°C within the physiological range.
  • Response Time: Fast response times (approx. 0.15 seconds) using a small gold or metal disc sensor.
• Sea Surface Temperature (SST): Marine sensors, such as the Si-Tex SST-110, utilize bronze or stainless steel through-hull probes to monitor ocean water temperatures for fishing and navigation purposes.
• Saturated Suction Temperature (SST): In HVAC systems, SST refers to the “boiling temperature” inside the evaporator coil, calculated based on the pressure of the refrigerant.
