Description 

A 1/2″ NPT x 11″ pipe nipple is defined by several key performance and structural features that make it suitable for joining female-threaded fittings at specific distances.

Features

• Standardized Threading: Features Male NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads on both ends (MNPT x MNPT). These tapered threads compress as they are tightened to create a leak-proof seal when used with sealant like Teflon tape.
• Dimensional Accuracy:
  • Nominal Size: 1/2 inch refers to the internal pipe diameter; the actual outside diameter is approximately 0.84 inches.
  • Extended Length: The 11″ length is the Overall Length (OAL), measured from tip to tip, including threads.
• Wall Thickness: Most commonly found in Schedule 40, which provides a standard balance of strength and durability for low-to-medium pressure applications.
