Description
The Upper Shaft Castellated Lock Nut is a heavy-duty industrial fastener engineered to secure the upper wheel and bearing assembly on commercial Biro meat band saws. It features a distinct notched “castle” profile that works in tandem with a lock washer to prevent rotational backing or loosening during high-speed cutting operations
Features
- Positive Mechanical Locking: Designed with open slots (castellations) across the top perimeter. When paired with the matching Biro 238 lock washer, it forms a secure physical barrier against severe machine vibrations, ensuring the nut cannot back off the threaded shaft.
- Precise Bearing Preload Adjustment: Allows service technicians to make incremental tension adjustments directly on the upper wheel shaft. This helps set the exact bearing load needed to maintain proper wheel tracking and avoid blade instability.
- Corrosion-Resistant Integrity: Constructed from premium, heavy-duty hardened steel. This material withstands continuous exposure to meat fats, moisture, bone dust, and aggressive sanitizing chemicals used during daily commercial kitchen washdowns.
- OEM Compatibility & Exact Fit: Functions as a direct, drop-in replacement for Manufacturer Part Number (MPN) 237. It threads perfectly onto the standard Biro upper wheel shaft assembly.
- Universal Multi-Model Versatility: Offers drop-in compatibility across a wide range of 12-inch to 16-inch Biro industrial power saws, including models 11, 22, 33, 34, 44, 55, 1433, 1433FH, 3334, and 3334FH
