• Defrost Termination: The control head uses the sensor’s input to automatically terminate the defrost cycle once the coil temperature reaches approximately 45°F (7.2°C). This prevents the unit from heating the cabinet unnecessarily after the ice is melted.
• Fan Delay Control: The sensor also helps control the evaporator fan delay. After a defrost cycle, it prevents the fans from blowing warm, humid air into the food storage area until the coil has cooled down, which helps maintain stable cabinet temperatures and prevents condensation.
• Accurate Monitoring: According to U-Line specifications, the sensor is designed for precise temperature monitoring, which is essential for preserving stored food quality and ensuring the unit operates efficiently.
