3phase Electrical cable (per foot)

Features

  • Number of Conductors: Three-phase cables typically have three or four primary conductors (cores): three for the distinct phases (L1, L2, and L3) and sometimes a fourth for a neutral wire, depending on the system type (e.g., a 400V system uses 4 wires).
  • Conductor Material: Conductors are typically made of either copper or aluminum. Copper offers excellent conductivity, while aluminum can be a more cost-effective option.
  • Conductor Stranding: Conductors are often stranded (made of multiple smaller wires twisted together) rather than solid to provide flexibility and ease of handling, especially in larger cable sizes.
  • Insulation and Sheath: Each conductor is individually insulated, and the entire assembly is encased in a protective outer sheath. Common insulation and sheathing materials include PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene), which offer heat, moisture, and flame resistanc
